"And all the trees of the field shall know that I, the LORD, bring low the high tree, lift high the lowly tree, wither up the green tree, and make the withered tree bloom." -Ezekiel 17:24. "And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them." -Acts 2:2-3. Wind. Fire. Breath. "This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will return in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven." -Acts 1:11b. Fr. David shows us that although Jesus was ascending and would no longer be visible to the Apostles, he was not leaving them, not really. He prepared them, as we should prepare ourselves, for the coming of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
